Creative Writing Assignment

There was once a man who murdered about fifty people. Each act was premeditated and were thought out carefully. Bodies were found with no fingerprints, no left weapons, and few clues. His accomplice was one of his long time friends. The serial murderer trusted him more than family. They had been through a lot together. However, the accomplice's brother happened to be a detective. The detective was one of the most successful in the country, yet was struggling with the case of the serial murderer. He knew all the murders were linked to one person, but had no other leads. He had interviewed hundreds, churning out very little information. During a family gathering, the detective saw a very familiar tattoo on his brother's right arm. This very unique design had been graffitied near the body of the murderer's victim. The detective asked his brother, "Where'd you get that?" He pointed to the tattoo. His brother was tense. He muttered 'Um' and 'Uh' continuously and visibly trembled. The detective pulled him into a room. He pulled him into a room and tied him down. He started quizzing him about the murderer. They sat in there for over an hour. The detective threatened arrest him for weapons possession. The brother owned many illegal weapons. He confessed, and told him all of the details about the murderer. This lead straight to the murderer's arrest. On trial, the murderer had lots of evidence that proved his accomplice guilty as well. They were both sent to a very exclusive prison. It was in the middle of a forest in an undisclosed location. It was only the two of them, with a couple of hidden guards. There were very tall, strange looking fences. The fence posts were painted purple, and were nearly impossible for either of the two to cut through. Even if they found a way to escape, they had no idea where they were. There was no civilization in any direction for over a hundred miles.
